recreational  experiences.

The Uinta Mountains are just 20 miles south of Mountain View. The High Uintas and the Wasatch-Cache National Forest combined have over 250 lakes and more than 400 miles of blue ribbon trout fishing. There are also hundreds of miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking and ATV/snowmobile riding. The Deadhorse Trailhead Map is available online (you’ll need Adobe Acrobat Reader; 500K file size) or by calling the Mountain View Ranger District office at 307-782-6555. Fishing, camping, wilderness excursions and other recreational opportunities can all be found in the High Uintas.

The Green River which flows into and out of Flaming Gorge Reservoir offers excellent opportunities for rafting and trout fishing.

Bear River State Park located 35 miles west of Bridger Valley is Wyoming’s newest State park. Take a stroll along the Bear River, stop to watch the Bison or Elk or spend an afternoon enjoying a picnic.
