Mountain View is a small town nestled on the northern slope of the Uinta Mountains. Mountain View was platted on February 26, 1898, signed by W.H. Harvey, and recorded March 30, 1898. This 40-acre plot for town, business, school and housing was donated by W.H. Harvey and Agnes Hewitt. The town was incorporated April 24, 1974.
